Turn-about was fair play when Jay W. Smith, D.D.G.M., 1st Masonic District, presented 70-year and 50-year service awards during a quarterly luncheon of Masons at the Willow Valley Retirement Community south of Lancaster. Bro. Smith was recognized with a certificate of appreciation for being "...a brother tried and true and has made all of us feel welcome in the district." The 70-year award was presented to Paul Reidler of Schuylkill Lodge No. 138, Orwigsburg, and the 50-year award was presented to Gilbert Bohn, Harry A. Houseman Lodge No. 717, Philadelphia.
The Masons who live at Willow Valley and take part in the luncheon club come from all parts of Pennsylvania and from other jurisdictions. They enjoy the Fraternity and have visited and were warmly welcomed in every lodge in the district. Pictured at the award presentations are (l-r): Woody Kirk, P.M., Washington Lodge No. 156, Quarryville; Bro. Reidler; Bro. Smith; Bro. Bohn; and Bro. and Rev. A. William Archer, P.M., High Noon Lodge No. 38, Newport, DE. |
