DeMolays Visit at Masonic Village
Members of George Washington Chapter, Order of DeMolay recently visited Bro. Harold “Moose” Buhrman at the Masonic Village Health Care Center in Elizabethtown. Bro. Buhrman is a 46-year member of George Washington Lodge No. 143, Chambersburg. Although not a Past Master, he was very regular in his attendance until be moved to Elizabethtown. The DeMolays presented him with a lodge coin, and the Master Councilor, Matthew Maple, pinned a lodge lapel pin on his shirt. Matthew plays ninth grade football at Faust Junior High School in Chambersburg where Bro. Buhrman’s son, Chris, is the athletic director.
Bro. Buhrman turned off the football game he was watching on TV to visit with the DeMolays. He was surprised by the visit, and especially the large turnout. He wanted to know if the boys played football and what positions they played. The DeMolays were accompanied by Jess A. Leidig, III, Worshipful Master of Bro. Buhrman’s Lodge.
The DeMolay delegation poses outside the Masonic Village Health Care Center.
