Worshipful Master’s Message
Brethren,
Our turbulent summer is coming to an end and I am
inviting you to attend our September stated meeting.
We have a lot to discuss, from our lodge’s need for
funds to the inappropriate and unmasonic actions of
a few of our members. On the advice of our trustees
we will dispense with all pre meeting meals for the
remainder of the Masonic Year. We will, however
serve refreshments after the meeting. Our lodge is
behind in all its funding and in financing our
needed repair work. In conjunction with this need,
we will establish a committee of our members to work
with our trustees to develop a fund raising program
that will be used to enable the needed building
repairs/enhancements that the trustees have agreed
to act upon when the funds are available.
At the September stated meeting we will act upon the
petitions read in our June stated meeting and in a
Special Meeting held on July 22, 2010. Upon your
approval of the members, these petitioners will be
invited to obtain their Masonic Initiation and
Degrees at the above mentioned Extra Communication
of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania to be held at
LuLu Shrine on Saturday October 30, 2010 at 8:00 AM.
If you have any additional petitions to be read, we
MAY be able to include the petitioners in the one
day class.
During the summer we again enacted a “peer group”
meeting to allow the younger and newer lodge members
to develop a lodge officer succession plan and to
understand and hear from our trustees. I personally
feel that these brethren are our lodge’s future and
that we need to encourage and support their
accession to Lodge Leadership. If any other of our
members would like to attend and participate, please
contact me or any Lodge Officer.
NOTE: Our lodge will be Honored at our October
Stated Meeting with a Visitation of RW Grand Master,
Thomas K. Sturgeon along with the Officers of the
6th Masonic District. Circle the date on your
calendar now and make every effort to greet Brother
Sturgeon at our stated meeting on October 7, 2010.
Lastly, don’t forget to tell your children, your
grand children, your spouse or significant other and
each living sibling and parent that YOU LOVE THEM
..…. and try to do it each and every day.....
(Actually all your friends and neighbors may like to
hear these words, too!)
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Leonard R. Bezar P.M. Worshipful Master
