Hi Brethern
Hey, just a quick note to say hi to all the Brethren. All is well here
in Washington. I hope everyone had a joyous holiday season.

Right back atcha to Bro Joe Reppar. It's good to hear that the Brethren are getting some good out of the CYBERMASON network. At this time the network has grown to 135 masons and getting stronger. We're very proud of that, and hope to hear from many of our long-distance brethren to share the light. It would be great if you could come up this Spring and pay us a visit.

Hey, just a quick note to say hi to all the Brethren again and hope they will find the web site more than useful. If ya have any ideas you would like to see presented, don't hesitate to let the Webmaster know. We want this to continue to be your web page thru which the Brethren can get updated on the activities of the lodge. Even if you have no input but have visited the site, drop a quick note saying, "keep up the good work". Some people will work for a well deserved pat on the back. Frank has gone beyond the call of duty by keeping this site up and informative.
See ya all at the next Stated meeting.

Some great pictures on the "Current Events" link thanks to Andy Richardson and Mike Elko. Too bad more members don't take the time to enjoy what a terrific lodge we have. Always seem to be the same old, same old.

Had the pleasure of spending a week in Myrtle Beach with brother Joe Reppar and his wife Judy. We soaked up some sun, a few brews and some ritual. Amazing how much of the work Joe still remembers. It was a big loss to #743 when he moved south. Hope we can do this again.

Brother Reppar seems to be happy in his new digs in South Carolina. As he was in Florida, he is active in nearby masonic lodges and activities although remaining a member of #743. Too bad more of our local members can't find time in their "busy" schedules to attend and support our lodge.

Guilio,
Thanks for the website update. I really like the music on each page. Whomever did it give them a pat on the back from me. Super job! I have been over extended this past year. I am the president of my church and serve as the president of a library board too - not to mention, two teenagers. I hope things are well and I enjoy keeping in touch via the web. Soon I will be done with my commitments and will be able to see you good people once again.
Thanks again for your updates.

Glad to see brother Reppar has finally completed his move to South Carolina.. he said too many "old people" live in Florida. Not really, he fit right in there. I'll miss visiting with him on my two annual trips to Daytona. At least he still finds a way to visit #743 from time to time.

Greetings to the Brethren of 743, I have a new computer, and finally got it to working on the pages of this great web site. Thanks to Bro. Sec. Frank Kirsopp for the list of settings etc. Also, don't try to visit me in Florida, as of Feb. 4, 2005, I reside in Anderson, SC. Talked to Bro. Richard Curry PM today, about racin' of course among other things. Wishing everyone a fine summer season. If any one is near I 85 exit 21 in S. Carolina, I'm only minutes away, stop in, and say hi.

Greetings Brethren, and my warmest wishes for a Happy New Year. As your newest Past Master I want to thank the worthy Brethren of John A. Brashear Lodge No. 743 for their support while I was in the East. It was an honor that I will carry with me throughout my Masonic career. I felt this website, and our cybermason network was one of our most notable achievements during 2004. These tools certainly enable us to share the light, as our Right Worshipful Grand Master suggests. It will always be a pleasure to hear from you, as it was in the past. Do not hesitate to email at: giulio@comcast.net God bless and keep you in His care.

Hello to all of my Brothers
The web page is getting better all the time. I noticed that the oldest living Past Master Thomas Byrer, I remember Tom before I joined the craft as I sat next to him in choir. Then after I joined, he had me over to his home to help me learn the what was needed to advance. Tom is one of the reasons John A Brashear lodge is one of the best in the State.
I have made it my home page, so I go to each time I log on. keeps me close to all.
Hope all the Brothers and their families have a great holiday season.

Dear Brothers
As I again visit our lodges home page, I remember that John A Brashear is one of the best lodges in PA, let alone in the World. I am please of have been able to be associated to Brashear.
I would like to let the brothers known that they have a great Master this year in Wor. Magrini. He has gone the extra miles (yes plural) to reach out to the brothers who have left Pittsburgh and can no longer get back for the meetings. He has kept me connected this year in including me in the Past Master Evening my sending me a Past Master Shirt. And when he was visiting a friend in West Palm Beach last Month, made a point of visiting me and getting to me a personalize John A Brashear mug. He will be a hard one to follow, but all of the John A Brashear Past Masters have been hard to follow because all have been great
My Love to all of the Brothers.

Dear Frank
Thanks for keeping me updated.
As I was reading some of the other posts, I realized I forgot to let the brothers know how I made it through the hurricanes. My apartment had no damage from either, I just lost electricity after each, the first for about 10 days and the second for about 4 days. I feel that I was very lucky, as the eye of the second storm was just one mile north of my place.
And my work location is in the same building as the local ABC TV station, so work had power and phones the next day after the each storm.
Hope all the brothers had a great summer.
John E. Dickinson
Again I am pleased with my home lodge's web page, the lodge is doing a great job getting information out onto the web.

I really enjoyed the "For Masons Only" link on the web site. I saw my name on my very first visit. Thanks to all the craftsmen of the web page.

W. Magrini and the Brothers of J.A.B.,
Fraternal tidings and good wishes from Palm Beach Fl. I think that your website is great and I like that you just added a "Masons Only" page. I have sent your website to some of my Brothers here in Fl. to show them what can be done when you have a solid core of dedicated officers. I also enjoy getting your Cyber Letter every month. It is both informative and well written. Giulio, you are to be commended on a great year as Master !!! Your innovations are what Masonry needs to keep pace with today's world.
The Plaque that I was presented when I visited J.A.B., The Order of the Peel , hangs proudly in my home office as a constant reminder of Friendship and Brotherly Love.
I am also proud to say that my close friend and Brother, W. Giulio Magrini is now a Dual Member of Harmonia Lodge #138 F.& A.M. His membership was voted on and approved at our July Stated Meeting. Oh, did I mention that we, Harmonia Lodge, have a fine of $50.00 if you miss a meeting ??? The proceeds of which are used to fund our Lodge of Destruction .. The Brothers thank you Giulio not to mention the waitresses at Hooters !!

I have been checking the Guest book for about a month now and no new
communications are appearing on same. I guess the novelty is wearing out. To all
the members of the Lodge and other visiting guests, we sure would like to hear
from you. Leave a few lines to let us know you are around and still breathing.
See you at the Special Stated meeting in August.

Brethern,
I just saw the pictures of the June Stated Meeting (Strawberry nite), and, again, it brought back fond memories. Hope I can attend more meetings in the not too distant future. One meeting, May 2004, in 16 years is not a very good average, but then 900 miles to the place of meeting is a considerable distance. Enjoy the summer, I live less than a cable tow from exit 289, of I 95 at Palm Coast, Florida. Stop and say Hi if you're passing by.
Sincerely,
Bro. Joe Reppar # 743

I got to attend the May 2004 Stated Meeting, and had a great time. It's been 16 years since I moved to Florida. I wish to congratulate the 50 yr. recipients, and also commend the Officers for presiding over a well presented meeting. But, alas, I had to travel back to Florida. I hope it's not another 16 yrs. til I get to attend another meeting.

Nice website! I talked to Mr. Kirsopp today about another matter, and he pointed
me to your site. I hope you don't mind that I printed down your biographical
sketches of JAB, and of your Lodge for our files.
'Twas I who wrote that little piece on JAB that appeared in The PA Freemason,

close a relationship Washington had with our Grand Lodge. Hats off to all who
had the ability to be involved. Special thanks to Al Kappler for furnishing the

01/16/04, from Dick Curry. I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Bob Hughes. Although he never ascended the chairs to become Worshipful Master of our lodge, he single handedly coached and guided many who did, including yours truly. Bob was a stickler for perfection and spent endless hours inside and outside the lodge hall instructing candidates and officers alike. His presence is irreplaceable. He will be dearly missed. Rest in peace faithful friend.
*************
#18
So sorry to
hear about Bob, The Lodge will not be the same without him. When I first came
into the Lodge, he was the first to teach me the oath, steps, sign, etc. He
instructed most of us after 1976. He instructed the first and seconds. He and
Carmine Malanga used to cross paths downdown, he on one corner and Carm on the
other, going through the "Whole canopy of heaven" routine. People observing must
have thought them both crazy. May he rest in peace and may he have found his
whole canopy in heaven.
