LOUIS A. CATTLEY 50-YEAR PRESENTATION

Tuesday April 13, 2004

This evening I had the pleasure of accompanying our Worshipful Master Guilio Magrini and our District Deputy Grand Master David Morgans to the home of Mrs. Louis Cattley, widow of our late Brother Louis A. Cattley. 

Brother Cattley passed away on March 9, 2004 prior to our presenting him with his fifty-year pin.  Grand Lodge approved a presentation of Brother Louis Cattley's fifty year pin to Mrs. Cattley.

For me the moments of our visit were very touching.  Worshipful Master Giulio Magrini presented Mrs. Cattley with a bouquet of beautiful flowers as a heartfelt expression from John A. Brashear Lodge.  Next, Brother David W. Morgans, District Deputy Grand Master presented Mrs. Cattley with the fifty-year pin and card of her late husband.

Mrs. Cattley, an active member of many ladies Masonic organizations and church groups showed us pictures and told us of her husbands military and education experiences.

We were introduced to Brother David L. Cattley, one of three sons who is a member of Guyasuta Lodge # 513 in Ingram, PA.  The District Deputy, David Morgans, also presented Mrs. Cattley's son David with the lapel pin of the Right Worshipful Grand Master William Slater II.

After offering support and assistance we departed.

I only wish that each of our members could have witnessed the fraternal affection and kindness that was present during this visitation.  Our membership should be proud to be represented by such men of feeling and integrity as our Worshipful Master Guilio Magrini and District Deputy Grand Master David W. Morgans.
