William H. Weichsel, 66th Worshipful Master of Woodlawn Lodge No. 672, rose to the esteemed position of District Deputy Grand Master, Masonic District 37, Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania. Brother Weichsel served in the capacity of DDGM for the period of 1999-2005.

After completing his term as District Deputy Grand Master, Brother Weichsel was installed as the Puissant District Deputy Grand Master of District # 1 of Grand Council of Royal & Select Master Masons of PA in June 2006.

Paul Miller Moore, 2nd Worshipful Master of Woodlawn Lodge No. 672, rose to the esteemed position of Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of PA in 1939. He further rose to the esteemed position of Grand Master of the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar of USA for the period of 1961-1963.

P M Moore was a great humanitarian and one of Aliquippa's best known citizens. In 1912 he started the P M Moore Company and constructed many of the neighborhood "plans" for the steel workers. These homes of excellent quality were being completed at a rate of one house per day. The houses sold for just over $2000 and all contained a living room, dining room and kitchen downstairs, with three bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. Indoor plumbing, taken for granted today, was new to this area at the time.

On April 3 1985, RWB Arthur William Kratzert, became the 139th Most Worshipful Grand Master of Masons in Connecticut. Having been born in Monaca, PA., he was raised to Master Mason in Woodlawn Lodge No. 672, in Aliquippa, PA, and affiliated with Friendship Lodge #33, Southington, CT, on September 4, 1963.

We of the 37th District of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania are proud to announce that Brother Brother John C. "Bud" Householder, P.M. has been Elected as a Fellow of The Philalethes Society.

The Philalethes Society is an International Masonic Research Society with membership available to Freemasons who are members in good standing in a regular Masonic Lodge. However, the honor of Fellowship is reserved to a very select group of individuals. Quoting the Bylaws of the Philalethes Society: "Fellows are chosen from Members of the Society who have shown a dedication to the knowledge of Freemasonry. The number is limited to 40 at any one time."
