and Donohoe Roads |

A new one story building was constructed on two and one third acres of
land at the intersection of George's Station and Donohoe Roads in East
Hempfield Township, East Greensburg. The building was built on one level
and is "Y" shaped. The base of the "Y" acts as an entrance and reception
area, the left wing acts as a social area and kitchen, the right wing
the Lodge Room and storage. The building was named the "Greensburg Masonic
Center". In 1991 the Lodge moved from the Masonic Temple on Main Street
to the new Greensburg Masonic Center. A Cornerstone Laying Ceremony was held October 26, 1991 at 3:30 p.m.
with Right Worshipful Grand Master W. Scott Stoner and Grand Lodge and
local Masonic Officers in attendance. Those representing the Lodge were
Charles H. King, Worshipful Master; Larry W. Kester, Senior Warden; Harry
L. Ziegler, P.M., Junior Warden. Lodge No. 518 has been active in the community for 125 years. Our membership
stands at 377 and we wish to thank all of our members and friends for
their foresight in the past and their anticipation of the future to provide
a meeting place. Masonry will continue to grow in the Greensburg area. |
