The Traveling Gavel Finds A New Home
Thirteen members of Acacia Lodge traveled to Shippensburg on Thursday, June 5th to visit Cumberland Valley Lodge #315 during a Stated Meeting.

New Signs for Acacia Lodge
The sign committee (Brother Tom Wynkoop and Brother Tony Haugh) have erected the new signs at the four major roads leading into Waynesboro.
The old signs erected almost 20 years ago when Brother Wynkoop was Worshipful Master were faded and needed replaced.
The new signs were voted and approved on in the January stated meeting and posted by the end of May.
A BIG Thank You to Brother Wynkoop and Brother Haugh for their hard work.

April Stated Mtg: Past Master's Night
Honoring Past Masters was the theme for April's Stated Meeting.
A catered meal was served to all in the social hall before the meeting began. |

During the meeting, Worshipful Master, Jason Stains, honored Past Masters of Acacia Lodge along with visiting Past Masters with a carnation corsage. |

March State Mtg: District Deputy Grand Master Annual Visit
At Acacia´s March Stated Meeting the District Deputy Grand Master S. Eugen Herrit made his annual visit. The District Deputy made a presentation of the 60-Year Member Emblem to Robert C. Smith.
He also presented the Past Master's Appreciation Award to Jeff Geesaman, PM and Jeremy Bowersox, PM.

Miss Jobs Daughter of Pennsylvania Visits Acacia Lodge
Following the February Stated Meeting, Kirsten Piatak, Miss Jobs Daughter of Pennsylvania 2007-2008 and Miss Congeniality of Pennsylvania 2007-2008 paid a visit to Acacia Lodge. |

She is the Daughter Chairperson for the Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment (H.I.K.E.) for Pennsylvania. This fund provides hearing devices to children whose families cannot afford such devices.
Kirsten is also a Past Honored Queen to Bethel #12, Gettysburg and Past Grand Bethel Honored Queen for Pennsylvania. A High School Senior, Kirsten attends Fairfield Area School District and is active in Field Hockey. She has been accepted to four different Universities to continue her education. |

32nd Degree Masonic Learning Center Experience
Joe Chubb (right), Master Councilor of Pilgrim Chapter, Order of DeMolay, and State Chaplain for Pennsylvania DeMolay gave a presentation to members of the lodge following the January stated meeting regarding his experiences at the 32nd Degree Masonic Learning Center at the Harrisburg Consistory building.
During his presentation, Joe talked about his struggle with grades in school, specifically reading class. With the help he received from the 32nd Degree Masonic Learning Center he was able to turn his grades around and accelerate in the class room.
In his DeMolay career, Joe has earned the Past Master Counselor's Meritorious Service Award, Representative DeMolay, and the Founders Membership Award. |

Officer Installation - December 21, 2007
Brother Jeremy Bowersox, Worshipful Master (right) presents the Gavel of Authority to the newly installed Worshipful Master, Brother Jason Stains during the Officer Installations at Acacia Lodge #586.
As Brother Stains took the Gavel and the East Chair for the first time he said, "I am honored to lead Acacia Lodge and look forward to an eventful and exciting year as Worshipful Master."
Other installations included Past Master William Wepking was installed as the Senior Warden. Joel Klimoski, Past Master, was installed as Acacia's Junior Warden. |
