September 2005

The Program at The Stated Meeting in September '05 was a presentation made by the
Masonic Motorcycle Club International.
It was very well attended and was a great night of learning, fun and fellowship.

There were over a dozen "biker brethren" present including
representatives from the Zembo Shrine Motorcycle Touring Unit.

Priceless!

Someone's pace maker was working OVERTIME!

August 2005

Worshipful Master Eric Joyner presents a plaque expressing Eureka Lodge # 302's appriciation for the use of the American Express building on Main St in Mechanicsburg for the execution of the CHIP Program during Jubilee Day in June of this year. During that event, Eureka Lodge volunteers placed a tent in front of the American Express building, registered 337 children and, utilizing the American Express Conference Rooms, completed the process. It was a great day for the Lodge and for the parents of the children who now feel a bit more secure. The day would not have been a success without the hard work of so many people including WM Eric Joyner's Daughters, Jessica Joyner and Rebecca Joyner shown below with others who helped to make this event a great one for Mechanicsburg and Eureka Lodge #302.

From Left to Right:

In the first week of August, my family made our annual trek to Canada for fun and fishing with about 20 families who make the same trek every year.
I was raised in October 2004. This then was my first trek as a Mason. To my astonishment, I found 5 others of the group were brethren and several of the women have been involved. In fact there was a Past Master, a Past Patriarch of the Eastern Star and a Canadian Mason in the group. We discussed much of what we knew. As I was the only brother from PA, I learned and I shared. It was a truly great experience. Perhaps mostly because I have known these men and women for nine years. I Now know what I had only suspected for years.
I share this with my lodge as a reminder to those of us who may be like me, those of us who continue to be amazed at all that is the Masonic Brotherhood. It is larger than most can imagine. It is inspiring.

All of the men and women below are involved in Masonic Life in some way. Can you pick out the Brother from Eureka Lodge # 302. Who is the PM? Who is the Canadian Brother?

How does one know another for 9 years and not know them to be a Mason. Have you shared the light lately?
