Wine, King, Women & Truth
This is from a Latin inscription said to be on an archway in Rosslyn Chapel.
Wine is strong, a king is stronger, women are even stronger, but truth will conquer all.
This is said to be the answer to the question: Which is the strongest, the strength of wine, the strength of the King, or the strength of Women? The question, in Masonic legend (In the Order of the Knights of the Red Cross of Babylon), is said to have been asked of Zerubbabel when he asked permission to rebuild the Temple at Jerusalem. See "The Second Messiah" page 34.
