Who Compiled the Holy Bible?
The Holy Bible consists of a set of writings by various authors. There were many other writings from other authors of the time that did not get put into the Holy Bible perhaps because these writing did not agree with the ideas of those who compiled the Holy Bible.
Is the Holy Bible the Word of God? Good question! Those of us who read the Bible in English are reading the results of several or many previous translations. Each translator probably made some mistakes, either by mistake or on purpose. It is thus probable that the Holy Bible is not even very close to the Word of God, if it ever was given to mankind by God. While many, if not most, of the ideas presented in the Holy Bible seem to be a good idea, they may or may not actually be the Word of God.
An ancient translator would probably not have written down anything that could have caused him to irritate the King or the Church. He probably had no desire to be beheaded or burned at the stake. Therefore he probably wrote his translations so that they agreed with the ideas of the rulers and of the churches of the time.
Perhaps some of the books of the Holy Bible were 'created' by the Church and the translators to assist their gaining control over the masses of people.
There is no reference in the Holy Bible about God creating Money so why would God want people to donate a man made creation to Him. Could this simply have been a way for the religions to get people's money so that the Church leaders would not have to go out and actually do physical work to feed themselves?
Also the meaning of words change over time. This does not help in understanding what was written a long time ago.
