What Religion Is Correct?
The best answer probably is that no Religion is really correct.
Obviously, at least to you and others of the same Religion as you are, your Religion is correct and all others are wrong and need to be eliminated by whatever means are needed.
All Religions seem to 'know' that their particular belief is correct and all other Religions are wrong. No reasonable proof is required, or even desired, for most religious people since they 'know' that they are correct and all others are wrong and therefore doomed to whatever Hell their Religion believes in, if they believe in a Hell like the Christians do.
Most people do not choose their Religion as they became members of that Religion because they were taught, probably by their parents, that that Religion was the only correct Religion. If you had been born and raised in another country you would probably be a member of whatever the main Religion of that country happened to be.
If a person studied each Religion to determine which one was correct they would probably die before they had time to really study all the Religions that are now on the Earth. As in the past new Religions are still being created. Creating a new Religion is a great way to acquire a lot of untaxed money. It is much easier to get money from people for a Religion than it is to get people to invest their money in any other business venture, especially if you can convince them that they will earn everlasting life by giving their cash to your Church.
Most Religions have something in them that most people object to even though they belong to that Religion.
Since every Religion 'knows', without any reasonable proof whatsoever, that their Religion is the only true Religion, then that Religion considers all other Religions to be wrong and thus either heathens or Pagans. Many Religions seem to think, or at least used to think, that all other Religions must be converted to their Religion or else they should be eliminated from the face of the planet via some unpleasant method such as Burning at The Stake, which was often used by the Inquisition of the Catholic Church, which has seen its name changed to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which at least sounds less threatening than Inquisition.
There are a few Religions that do not care what the other people believe in so they do not have to try to convert or kill those who do not have the same beliefs as they do on Religion. Wicca is one Religion that does not seem to care what Religion you belong to even if your Religion considers Wicca to be Pagan. Why is it that the so-called Pagans treat people who do not agree with their Religion in a much nicer manner than the Expansionist Religions like Christianity and Islam? Which attitude will the Supreme Being find to be the most honorable?
People who were reared in Muslim country are probably Muslim but if they had been born in a Christian country they probably would be Christian, and if they had been born in a Jewish country they probably would be Jewish. Likewise for almost all other people who are of one Religion. Your Religion was mostly determined by the Religion practiced by your Parents. This fact does not make your Religion any better, or worse, than any other religion.
Since Freemasonry is not a Religion, Freemasonry also does not care what Religion you happen to belong to. You are free to choose your Religion or remain with the Religion that you now 'know' is correct. Freemasons, unlike many followers of the various Religions, will not kill you because your Religion does not agree with someone else's Religion. Freemasonry has never felt the need to kill off those who are not Freemasons, thus probably making Freemasonry a more desirable lifestyle and thus more pleasing to God than most Religions.
Most, if not all, Religions have done some good for mankind but they also have caused mankind a lot of unwarranted pain, suffering and death. This still occurs way too frequently. Does the good outweighs the bad? Hard to tell, but probably not. Perhaps we should ask those who were murdered because of the name they used for God or because of their religious beliefs.
Remember that we as Freemasons do not favor any one religion over another as we are not a Religion but simply a peculiar fraternal organization dedicated to making men better and thus attempting to make the Earth a better place in which to live and die. We as Freemasons encourage you to live your life in such a manner that upon your death your Creator, the Great Architect of the Universe, will find favor with the way you lived your life on Earth, or wherever you happen to have lived.
