What happens to you when you die?

When you die, which you will do, probably sooner than you wish, you will become dinner for some other form of life.  These other forms of live, perhaps worms, bugs, or other creatures will eat your body so that they and their offspring can survive.  They will then be eaten boy some other creature that is higher up on the food chain.

Eventually your atoms will be consumed by some other human being to keep them alive until it is their turn to become worm food.

If you are in the wrong place on the planet you may even be killed for food by other humans that we call cannibals.

Your body will be consumed by something.  Embalming the body is simply a way to prevent it from happening quite as fast.  Embalming of the body is thus just a waste of time, resources and money.

If you are a Christian you have been taught, and probably believe, that upon death (assuming you have 'accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior') you will go to Heaven to be with God.  Remember that most bodies are buried in the ground to become food for the worms or burned up in cremation (where they still are consumed by other life forms), so your body will not be going to heaven.  Perhaps your soul, whatever it is if it exists, may 'go to heaven' if you have met all the requirements as set forth by you religion, and if you have given enough of your earnings to your Religion.  Will this happen?  Who knows?

At any rate you should try to live a good and honorable life and treat other with kindness.

Religions are all creations of mankind and may not be totally correct, if correct at all.
