What Did the Knights Templar Find? 

If anyone really knows they have kept very quiet about it for about 900 years.

There has been a lot of speculation.

It is thought that they may have found: 
    1) The Holy Grail 
    2) The Ark of the Covenant 
    3) Secret Teachings of Jesus Christ 
    4) Something known as Solomon's Key
    5) Proof of Jesus Christ's marriage to Mary Magdalene and that they had children

There are lots of ideas.  If you wish you can create your own idea about what they found, write a book about it, and thereby make the list of Knights Templar books longer.

Assuming they found something of value raises other questions. 

What did they do with it and where is it now?

Knights Templar Discovery at Solomon's Temple

While living at, and excavating, the possible ruins of King Solomon's Temple under the Temple Mount the Knights Templar seem to have found something that made them very wealthy and very powerful.  What could they have found?

Whatever it was it was enough to exempt then from paying taxes.  After the find the Knights Templar only had to answer to the Pope of the Catholic Church.  Whatever it was it must have really ticked off, or really scared the Catholic Church to the point that they either caused or allowed the leaders of the Knights Templar to be Burned at the Stake.

Whatever it was it must have been either important to, harmful to, or very embarrassing to the Catholic Church.  The Catholic Church sure did away with the Knights Templar in a spectacular though not very Christian manner.  Torture of the Knights Templar to get confessions, and then Burning them at the Stake, do not seem to be very Christian, at least in my opinion.  On the other hand the Christians must really enjoy killing those who do not totally tow the official line so perhaps torture and Burning at the Stake are actually very good Christian attitudes.  They sure have done it more than enough times.

Perhaps they discovered that Jesus Christ was a very good man with good ideas but not God, as the Gnostics still are said to believe.
