Adam Weishaupt
Adam Weishaupt was the founder of the Bavarian Illuminati on 01 May 1776. He was a professor of Canon Law at Ingolstadt University of Bavaria, Germany.
Adam Weishaupt seems to have been influenced by a mysterious man known as Kolmer.
Adam Weishaupt was studying to become a Jesuit priest when the Jesuits were banned by Pope Clement XIV in 1773. Adam Weishaupt was therefore not a happy camper.
Adam Weishaupt studied the Muslim Assassins, their use of hashish, and himself used marijuana to become 'enlightened, by the drug.
Adam Weishaupt probably came up with the slogan of the Illuminati, which was "Ewige Blumenkraft" or "Eternal Flower Power."
Adam Weishaupt joined the Masonic Lodge Theodore of Good Council, perhaps shortly before 1777.
Adam Weishaupt used the name "Sparticus" as his Illuminati name.
