Wands is the plural of Wand.
The Wands used in Freemasonry, at least in Pennsylvania, are to be made of wood, Seven feet in length, and slightly tapered towards the top, white for one foot from the top and the remainder Blue.
These are carried by the Deacons while they are carrying messages and during the initiation of candidates. These Wands play are used when a candidate is brought into true Masonic Light.
They are stored in a holder that resembles a flag pole holder that is located to the right of each Deacon so that he can easily pick up his Wand as he stands up from his seat.
They are carried in the right hand.
Wands is also one of the suits of the Tarot. Also see Wands for more information not referring to Freemasonry.
