Voting Requirements in America

The Voting Requirements in America are extremely low and need some modifications.

In theory anyone who registers to vote who is at least 18 years of age is permitted to vote.  Why should someone be entitled to vote simply because someone else has kept that person alive for 18 years?

In reality just about anyone can vote, sometimes many times on the same day, and even many who are dead also get their votes counted.  In Chicago the idea seems to be "Vote Early and Vote Often."

A bare minimum requirement should perhaps be something like they must have shown enough interest to have at least graduated from high school.  Only taxpayers should be able to vote because if they do not contribute to the system they should have no say in how the money is spent.  People who pay Federal Income Tax should be permitted to vote in Federal elections and people who pay State Income should be able to vote in State elections.  Those who do not pay tax should not be permitted to vote.

A person who pays say a million dollars in tax should have more votes that a person who paid only a hundred dollars in tax.  Perhaps each dollar paid in tax should be worth one vote.
