Tower of Babel
Some say that the Tower of Babel was built by Masons.
This seems unlikely since the Tower of Babel is said to have been built of bricks, not stones, but who knows. (See "Cracking the Freemasons Code" by Cooper page 9)
It is said that the people were attempting to build a tower that would reach Heaven. Unless they were really stupid they would not even have attempted this feat. I think the Masons with their vast knowledge of construction and of Astronomy, would never have attempted this unless they were getting well paid quite well for their labors.
It is said in the Holy Bible that this caused God to become irritated and that the gods went down and confounded the languages. In the Holy Bible the plural for gods is used for some reason. Were there more than one god at that time?
See Genesis 11-7 in these words: "Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. How many gods were there at this time to cause the plural to be used? Is there really more than One God? The Holy bible seems to indicate that there are more than just one God by this statement.
I find it strange that God, or the gods, would not have sat back and just watched this endeavor that had to fail due to the stupidity of the idea. I think that the Supreme Being would have gotten quite a chuckle out of this attempt to reach Heaven.
Could this story simply be an attempt by the writers of the Holy Bible to explain the language differences?
