Three Wise Men
The Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 2, claims that Three Wise Men followed the Star of Bethlehem to find Jesus Christ.
The Three Wise men are said to have seen the Star of Bethlehem rise in the East. They are said to have followed the Star of Bethlehem to find Jesus Christ.
This is quite unlikely since the Three Wise Men from the East could probably not followed a Star that rose in the East if they were on foot. At any rate no star could accurately guide anyone to an exact location such as a manger.
Perhaps the Three Wise Men, or the Three Magi, represented the Three Stars in the Belt of Orion, then this story seems to make some sense. The Three Stars in the Belt of Orion do point toward the Star now known as Sirius, which is probably the star known as the Star of Bethlehem. (See MPD_0028 for more information.
