Three is an important number for Freemasonry as well as for many Religions and other organizations.

Plato and Aristotle are said to have believed that the number Three was the Symbol for the Supreme Being.

The Equilateral Triangle with Three sides and Three angles with the All-seeing Eye is said to be a universal symbol of the Great Architect of the Universe, or of God.

In Freemasonry there are:

        (This is also some poor math from the Holy Bible)
        (Friday evening until Sunday morning is only about 36 hours or 1.5 days.)
        (I doubt that God would make such a mistake.) 

In Ancient Egypt
    1) They grouped their gods in groups of three with these as the most important.
        A) Osiris
        B) Isis
        C) Horus 

In America
    1) Three Levels of Government

    2) Three Branches of Government
        A) Executive

The Holy Bible considered three to be the value of Pi, even though it is not very close to being correct.  The Holy Bible does a rather poor job of explaining Science or Mathematics.  If God wrote the Holy Bible I doubt that he would have made a error like this.

Three is an important number in many things, including Freemasonry.

There are three times eleven degrees in all of the Scottish Rite.

Three knocks are required to gain admission to each of the three degrees of Freemasonry.

The sum of all the steps in the lodge room are three times three.

Time can be broken into three parts. The past, the present, and the future.

The triangle has three sides and three angles.

Bad luck is said to come in threes.

A great many scientific equations consist only of three variables. F=ma, D=RT, E=IR, W=Fs, P=W/t, P=IE, E=mc².

There are Three months in each season of the year.
