Sword

Swords is the plural of Sword.

Swords are still part of the Masonic Regalia.  The Tyler, the Pursuviant, and the two Masters of Ceremonies all carry swords during the meetings.  The current Masonic Swords do not appear to be much good as a weapons since they are unsharpened, but they still could hurt if someone was hit with one.

It is said that the hilt of the sword may represent the Cross and the shiny blade may be emblematic of purity of thought and deed.

More likely the sword was just a good weapon to murder the heathen who did not use the same name for god as the person who held the sword. The Revealed Religions were very fond of killing those people in some strange effort to 'help' God, as if God really needed any help!
