Sunrise Services

Sunrise Services are usually religious events held by Christians, and perhaps by other major Religions, early in the morning, as the Sun rises, on the morning of Easter.  Easter is almost always very close to, but slightly after, the Spring Equinox. Also Sunrise Services are usually held on Sunday, a Day dedicated and named for the Sun.  Easter is a Movable Feast Day.

Christians usually, if not always, deny that they are celebrating the Sun (Perhaps the Son of God?) rising up at Easter, but why else would they hold  Sunrise Services if they did not wish to observe the Sun rising, as did the worshipers of the Sun. 

The date of Easter is determined by the position of the Sun and the Moon in a manner similar to that used by Sun God worshipers to celebrate the Spring Equinox. There seems to be way too many similarities between Christianity and Sun Worship to just be a coincidence. 

Of course celebrating the rising of the Sun is not a bad idea if you think about the fact that all life will quickly end on Earth if the Sun does not continue to rise in a normal manner.  Sun Worship seems to make a lot of sense. We need to always pray to the Supreme Being that the Sun rises each and every day.  The Sun does provide for all life on Earth, which is probably why the ancients, and some moderns, worship the Sun as God.  The rising of the Sun is at least an observable event then the supernatural events described by the Revealed Religions.  Without the Sun we are really up the creek without a paddle, or in other words, screwed!

Those of you who are Freethinkers will understand this better, and think about it more, than those who simply rely upon someone in 'authority', be they religious or government leaders, to explain things to you.
