Dr. William Stukeley

He was a Fellow of the Royal Society in addition to being a Mason who was initiated into Freemasonry in 1721.

He claimed that Freemasonry was a partial survival of the of the ancient ways of the Druids, who were assumed to have built Stonehenge.
