Sophia  ( Wisdom of God )

Seems to be the feminine part of the True God according to Gnosticism.

Sophia was considered as the Creative Force.

It is said that she created a creature like herself without the permission of her partner but the creation was imperfect so she hid it in a cloud so it could not be seen by Immortals.

This creation became known as the Demiurge that Gnosticism considered to be the Christian God that entrapped the Spirit in Matter.

I guess this is something that ticked off the early Catholic or Christian Church.
