Solomon's Temple or King Solomon's Temple

Some of the information here will not be seen as Christian, but remember, King Solomon was not a Christian as Jesus Christ was not born until about a thousand years later and the Religion of Christianity did not really start until after the death of Jesus Christ.

Said to have been built starting in 945 BC. (Perhaps completed in 960 BC which see MoreInfo1 below on this page.)

The Masonic Legend, as presented in the Blue Degrees of Freemasonry, informs us that King Solomon's Temple was constructed under the leadership of the Three Grand Masters.  Note Three. It is strictly Allegorical and should not be considered as factual information.

Solomon may have built King Solomon's Temple as an offering to the Sun God, as he was probably a Sun Worshiper.  It is quite likely that he worshipped the Sun instead of Jesus Christ, since Jesus Christ had not yet been born.

See Solomon for some interesting information about the origin of his name and more information about the man, who may or may not have ever lived.

It is said that on the porch of King Solomon's Temple stood Two Great Pillars named Boaz and Jachin that are said to have been made by Hiram Abif.  These two Pillars taken together signify in Stability

It is said that King Solomon's Temple is almost an exact replica of a Sumerian Temple that was erected to the god Ninurta about a thousand years earlier. (See The Hiram Key, page 23)

It is said King Solomon's Temple was smaller than the building he had constructed to house his harem of a few hundred women.  At lease we assume they were women unless he also liked men.  Where were his priorities?

It is said that King Solomon's Temple was built to house the Ark of the Covenant that contained the Storm God Yahweh.  It was not constructed as a temple for worship but rather a home for Yahweh.  Why would God want to live in a little Gold box in a building in Israel?  This makes very little sense to me.

There appears to be nothing left of King Solomon's Temple, if it ever really existed.  There are no known remains left of King Solomon's Temple.  Nobody is really sure that it ever did exist. It might have been an invention of later Jewish scribes, or early Christians, for political or religious reasons. (See "The Hiram Key" page 23)(Perish the thought that a religion might invent something to enhance that religion! Could a religion really create such a fable? One should remember that if a lie is told to enough people it usually becomes a fact.)

Later on King Herod built another temple on the same site as where King Solomon's Temple is said to have been built.

It is said that the walls were 9 cubits thick at their base. It was aligned east and west.  The interior is said to have been about 90 feet by 30 feet. (See "The Hiram Key" page 23)

More Info1.
It has been said that King Solomon's Temple  was completed in 960 BC and  was destroyed by the Babylonians in 587 BC. King Herod the Great is said to have rebuilt it during his rule which was from about 37 BC until about 4 BC.  The Temple built by Herod was later destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD.
