Shroud of Turin

Said by many Christians to be the cloth that Jesus Christ was wrapped in after the crucifixion. It has been radiocarbon dated to about the 1300s AD, so it most likely was not used to wrap the body of Jesus Christ.
It is thought by some to be the cloth that covered Jacques DeMolay after his death but since he was killed by Burning at the Stake by the Catholic Church and King Philip the Fair of France there probably was not much left of him. Perhaps is was a cloth that covered DeMolay after one of the sessions of extreme torture he suffered at the hands of the Inquisition of Catholic Church.
See "The Brotherhood of the Holy Shroud" which is a work of fiction, but rather interesting, for additional potential information. Even books published as fiction may contain a lot of truth.
The Shroud of Turin was first placed on public display in 1357. (See "The Second Messiah" p 41)
