Second Crusade 

The Second Crusade was led by King Louis VII of France.  It was a failure for the Christians.  He was aided by Emperor Conrad II of Germany.

The Second Crusade was instigated by the preaching of Saint Bernard and was promoted by King Louis VII of France.  It is estimated that about a million people were engaged in the Second Crusade. It started in 1147.(See "The History of Freemasonry" by Mackey page 219)

Another war fought over the name of God which resulted in the large scale murder of people for not good reason.
