Sabbat

An assembly of Witches usually held on certain days of the year.

The word Sabbat is very close to the Jewish and/or Christian term of Sabbath.  Perhaps Sabbath came from Sabbat or perhaps the other way around.  Who knows?  Christianity has already adopted an awful lot of the ideas of the so-called Pagans into the Christian belief system.

As with most information about Witchcraft, the Sabbat, has been distorted and demonized by Christianity.

Christianity has depicted Sabbats as being obscene meetings of worshipping and copulating with the Devil after dancing and feasting.
