Rosicrucians

The Rosicrucians were a group of Deists who advocated religious tolerance.  They formed in Germany.  In 1617 many Rosicrucians left Germany for other parts of Europe at the outbreak of the 30 years war between the Catholics and the Protestants. (see The Little book of Freemasonry p 42)
