Romanized Christian Era

Seems to have started in 325 AD when a group of people got together at the Council of Nicaea and voted to make Jesus Christ the a God.

This marked the beginning of the Dark Ages which caused the lights to go out on learning when superstition replaced knowledge.  It lasted until the time of the Reformation when the supreme power of the Roman Catholic Church (Christianity of the time) was finally reduced.

Learning was discouraged by imprisonment, torture and often murder by Burning at the Stake, of the thinkers by the Christians.  The leaders of Christianity did not want anyone to think so that they had to rely on what their priest told them about everything.  This led to probably the greatest Destruction of Knowledge that has ever taken place, including the destruction of the great Library of Alexandria by the Christians under the leadership of Bishop Theophilius.  Criminals they were!  How many years did these morons set back the Western people?

St. John Chrysostom praised this destruction since is was said to have eliminated all old philosophy and literature of the ancient world from the face of the Earth.

I do not think that the One Supreme Being, by whatever name, would condone these actions by anyone.

See "The Second Messiah Chapter 4 for a lot more information.
