Religion and Money

There seems to be nothing that most Religions love any more than they love having you give them your hard-earned money.

Pointing this out, or admitting it, is probably Blasphemy, which to many religions probably should be punished by a slow painful death from being Burned at the Stake, or by sophisticated methods of torture until you agree to follow that religion, and admit that you were wrong.

Churches point out to the faithful that money is the root of all evil, however once the money is donated to a church, it, for some amazing reason, ceases to be evil, and becomes a wonderful thing!  I have never heard of any Religion being concerned with the way in which the donated money was earned.  Illegally earned cash, when given to a Religion, suddenly becomes good honest money for the Religion to spend as it desires.  If you give enough of this cash you will be rewarded by being assured that God will find pleasure with you and will grant you everlasting life in Heaven.  If you believe this, please send you money to me and I will send you a letter thanking you and informing you that God has now forgiven you of your sins and that you will have a great eternal life in Heaven, or wherever you wish to go after your body becomes food for worms.  Please email me for the address to mail the check.  Cash, Direct Deposit, Checks, or Credit Cards will be accepted, just like any Church these days.  I will accept this 'evil money that is the root of all evil' so that it will no longer be a detriment to you going to Heaven.  Hurry up and send it to me so that you are not in possession of this 'evil money' if you should die in say a car accident or perhaps get murdered by an illegal alien, or even by being Burnt at the Stake.  I am willing to accept the risk involved with this evil money.

Did you ever see a preacher of priest driving a crappy automobile, or living in a low class home?

Some of the donated money may be used to build fantastic Houses of or for God.  I have not figured out why God, the Great Architect of the Universe, has any need for a home built by human hands.  Why build a home for God when we do not even know his taste in homes or his requirements as to size, shape, and ventilation?  Perhaps God would rather reside along a creek under a tree where he can fish instead of living in a rectangular shaped box!

Money donated to churches enables the church leaders to live in huge mansions, drive new expensive cars, have multiple mistresses, and even have private airplanes to travel around in in their never ending attempt to acquire even more money.  A relatively small portion of the donations to a church are used to assist a few people who need some help.  Some money is spent in an attempt by missionaries to 'convert' people of some religion to your religion.  Missionaries have most likely caused more suffering that assistance. 

Most contributions to churches are tax deductible (In America only if you Itemize your Deductions) and the income to the church is tax free to the church. Money donated to a Religion should not be tax deductible since that amounts to the State helping to sponsor a Religion and by so ding force others who may not agree with that Religion to have to bay more taxes to make up for the money you did not pay for the simple reason that you gave money to a Religion so it could have more money for its leaders to spend.

Many churches have used this tax exempt income to buy land and buildings which appreciate so that they can sell the properties later at a profit for their prophets.

The donation of money to a church is vastly more important to the church than the 'saving' of your soul.

One of the easiest ways to become wealthy, at least in America, is to create your own Religion, become a 501 (c) 3 corporation, then get your followers to give large quantities of money to your new church so that you can tell them that God has forgiven them of their horrible deeds and that they can now go to Heaven.  They can buy their way into heaven by giving you their hard earned cash.

Religions, especially the Expansionist Religions, work really hard at getting their followers to donate money to their church. 

More money in their bank accounts means that they can build bigger and more elaborate buildings in desirable locations so that they can attract more people who will contribute even more money to the church.

A large monetary donation to some churches will cause a priest to tell you that God has forgiven you and that you will go to heaven regardless of how you acquired the money, as long as their Church got a good portion of the cash.

Some Religions will even declare, for the payment of the correct amount of money, that you were never married even when you were legally married for many years and have grown children.  What a crock of crap!

Many Religions have used donated money to fight wars against the enemies of their chosen Name of God.  A great example is the Crusades.

Money makes the Church operate.  Please give more.  The Church, like the Government, will use your donations in a better way than you can use your earnings.  Your priest and other church leaders need a new car, a bigger home, and a larger airplane this year so please donate more of your money to 'God' even if your children are hungry so that you can go to 'Heaven' when you die.  Your life on Earth is not important to most religions as long as you give enough tax-free cash to them!

More money also increases the Power of a Religion to influence elected officials and elections.  Your cash also lets them buy more art, gold, silver, and jewels for the leaders to show off to the world.

Separation of Church and State really only works one way, if it works at all.
