Religion
The plural of Religion is Religions.
Religion is a concept that was created by man, not by the Supreme Being.
A belief in a supernatural power that governs the universe. Recognition of a God as an object of worship. Any system of faith or worship. (From a Webster's Dictionary.)
Religions seems to like to use the sacred number Three. Christianity has the Trinity.
Most Religions have one main book they at least claim to follow and the Revealed Religions 'know' that this book was 'revealed' to their founder by God. Freemasonry, not being a Religion, refers to these Holy Books of the various religions as the Volume of the Sacred Law.
Religions also seem to be very fond of collecting money in the name of a God so that it can be used by the leaders of that particular Religion as they see fit to use it, often for themselves. The Pope and the leaders of television Religions seem to have the best of everything that money can buy. Poverty does not seem to be needed or desired for religious leaders. Religious leaders seem to have made their own rules, just like government officials. Most Religions are also exempt from taxation.
One of the easiest ways to become rich is to create a new Religion and get people to give money to your Religion. Most of it is not even taxed by governments. People seem to love giving money to Religions so that the leaders of the the Religion can live the good life here on Earth. They often give this money to their Religion because their Religion says that they must so do in able to get to Heaven. Some Religions consider money to be the root of all evil, so why would they want it to be given to their church. The leaders of many Religions seem to need fancy cars, airplanes and huge houses. Some have even been known to support a mistress or two with the money donated to their church.
Religion is one of the topics that cannot be discussed by Freemasons during an open meeting of the Lodge. Politics is the other forbidden topic.
Religions, especially Expansionist Religions, or Revealed Religions, are perhaps the best method of population control that has ever been invented. Probably more people have been killed because of Religion than for any other reason. The idea of many Religions seems to be that if you have a different belief about the Supreme Being then you need to die, and they are more than happy to murder you for your beliefs, often in a real unpleasant manner such as Burning at the Stake.
