Ramsey's Oration

This was a speech given by Andrew Michael Ramsey to the Freemasons in England during the year 1737.  It probably led the the issuance of the papal bull "In Eminenti" by Pope Clement XII on 28 April 1738.

He stated that the Freemasons were an intimate union with the Knights of Saint John of Jerusalem. The Knights of Saint John of Jerusalem were seem to have been associated with the Knights Templar.

He also stated that Freemasonry was connected to the ancient mystery schools of the Greek goddess Diana and the Egyptian goddess Isis.
