Pope Pius XII

Eugencio Pacelli became Pope Pius XII on 12 March 1939.

On 01 Nov 1950 he issued a statement about the Perpetual Virginity of Mary and the Assumption of Mary.  It must be true due to the Infallibility of the Pope, or at least members of the Catholic Church are required to believe it is true.
