Pope Clement V
Lived from 1264 until 1314. (See "Cracking the Freemasons Code" by Cooper page 4)
He became Pope in 1305, or 1306. His name was Bertrand de Goth, formerly the Archbishop of Bordeaux. He was put in as Pope by King Philip IV of France after King Philip IV had had Pope Boniface VIII kidnapped and killed and had probably had Pope Benedict XI poisoned to death. (See "The Temple and the Lodge" page 51)
Bertrand de Goth became Pope Clement V on 17 Dec 1305 at Lyons after having agreed to conditions put to him by King Philip IV of France who helped him become Pope. In other words he sold himself to King Philip IV of France so that he could be the Pope. (see "The Second Messiah" p 128)
Pope Clement V was the Pope that in 1307 had the Knights Templar arrested , tortured and burned at the stake. He had some of his dirty work done by King Philip IV of France. Or perhaps he just let King Philip IV of France do as he pleased with the Knights Templar as a reward for making him the Pope.
What a great guy to have been selected as the leader of the Catholic Church! What a real wonderful Christian leader.
It is said that Jacques DeMolay put a curse on both King Philip the Fair of France and on Pope Clement V while he was burning at the stake. Jacques DeMolay is said to have cursed them to both meet their maker within a year of his death. They both died within the year. It seems that for whatever reason the Supreme Being, by whatever name you use for Him, called them both for judgment within the time frame set by Jacques DeMolay.
Pope Clement V gave King Philip IV of France permission to banish all the Jews from France and to be allowed to confiscate all the Jewish Property to help pay of the debts of France. I guess the Catholic Church at that time had very little use for Freedom of Religion! (see "The Second Messiah" p 128)
