Pope Benedict XI

He became pope after Pope Boniface XIII was kidnapped and killed by King Philip the Fair of France. (See "Cracking the Freemasons Code" by Cooper page 4)

He died after only nine months as pope, probably killed by King Philip the Fair of France. His death was shortly after he and the King had a series of arguments. (See "Cracking the Freemasons Code" by Cooper page 4)

He was followed by Pope Clement V.
