Pillar 

The Pillar is considered to be like a spiritual umbilical cord connecting Heaven and Earth.  Some consider the  Pillar , like the Obelisk, to a symbol of the penis, AKA a phallic symbol.

Two Pillars is said to represent 'Stability'.

A great sacred Pillar is said to have been in the ancient city of Annu (AKA On in the Holy Bible and AKA Heliopolis by the Greeks).  The name of the Pillar was Annu. This was the Pillar in Lower Egypt.

Upper Egypt had a Pillar in Nekheb.  The city of Thebes (AKA Waset) later was also known by the title 'Iwnu Shema', meaning 'the Southern Pillar'. (See The Hiram Key" p 101)

It is interesting that Egypt had a great Pillar in the South and another in the North, just like the two great Pillars of King Solomon's Temple.  The Sun must have come up each morning between these Pillars.

Rosslyn Chapel has two fantastic Pillars just like King Solomon's Temple is said to have had.
