Physical Infirmities

At one time, until a few years ago, a man had be in good health with all body parts in order to be made a Mason, at least in Pennsylvania.

This requirement probably went back to the time when a mason needed to be in great physical shape to do the job of a mason.

Currently the rule on physical infirmities preventing a man from joining the Craft in Pennsylvania seem to have been eliminated.

In addition a man who needs a hearing aid to hear or glasses to see may rear them during the three Degrees.  (See Digest of Decisions, Article 100.12)
