Thomas Paine was an early American author
who wrote "Common Sense" and "The Age of Reason" along with many other books and letters.
He also wrote "Examinations
of the Prophecies" which points out a lot of problems and
mistakes in the Holy Bible.
See MPD_0012 to read a letter said to have been written by Thomas Paine to John Mason concerning Mason's visit with General Alexander Hamilton while Hamilton lay on his deathbed as a result of a duel in which he came in second best.
The writings of Thomas Paine should be read by all Freethinkers. The writings of Thomas Paine should cause all to think and to use reason in an attempt to prove to yourself that what you are being told by people in authority is in fact true.
Devout Christians probably consider Thomas Paine to have been a Heathen or Blasphemer, or perhaps worse.
I have enjoyed reading the writings of Thomas Paine. He is worth reading.
I found "The Age of Reason" to be very enlightening with regard to the Holy Bible.
