Occult 

Occult simply means hidden, secret, mysterious, magical or supernatural.

As a verb it means to conceal or hide from view, or eclipse.

Contrary to popular opinion and use the word 'Occult' is not sinister or bad.  Organized Religions seem to be responsible for demonizing the word since these Religions do not seem to like secrets that they do not have complete control of at all times.

Since the Freemasons are said to have so-called secrets, or mysteries, some Religions have accused the Freemasons of being an Occult Religion, whatever that is.

Even major Religions keep secrets and promote supernatural events so perhaps they too could be considered Occult like.  The Vatican has a huge amount of secrets stored in the Vatican Secret Archives.  It seems to be OK for Religions to have secrets but not the Freemasons.  Just a bit of a double standard.
