Nennius of Bangor

Nennius of Bangor is said to have been a monk who wrote a History of Britain perhaps around 900 AD.  He is said to have claimed that a warlord named Arthur, perhaps King Arthur, fought a battle against the Anglo Saxons near a place called Mons Badonicus in 500 AD. (See "The Second Messiah" p 104)
