Natural Elements

There are known to be exactly 92 Natural Elements on Earth.  In addition to the Natural Elements there are a lot of man-made elements. The list slowly expanded from the Original Four Elements as science advanced, which was hampered by the fact that the Catholic Church seemed to forbid the study and teaching of anything that did not agree with its teachings, under penalty of prison, torture or death by burning at the stake. This helped slow down the gaining of knowledge for a long time.
