William McKinley Jr.
Born 1843 in Niles Ohio. He was one of nine children.
Moved to Poland, Ohio in 1852.
Attended Poland Academy.
Joined the Methodist Church at age 16.
Went to Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania for one term.
Joined the Union Army after Fort Sumter fell.
He joined the Masons during the Civil War.
He joined the Knights of Pythias.
He worked with the YMCA.
Later attended a law school in Albany NY.
He was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic and the Loyal Legion.
He moved to Canton, Ohio.
He married Ida Saxton.
He was a Republican politician.
