Masonic Education
Useful Knowledge is the Great Object of Our Desire. We ought to apply ourselves with zeal to the learning of new Knowledge.
Masons should study all of the Seven Liberal Arts.
Masons can be assisted in their learning by attending the various Masonic Schools of Instruction which are conducted by the various Masonic Districts of Pennsylvania.
In our area, Western Pennsylvania, the Masonic Schools of Instruction are run by the 26th Masonic District and the 53rd Masonic District.
The 26th Masonic District holds its Masonic Schools of Instruction on the 4th Monday of each month at the Scottish Rite Cathedral at 7:30 PM.
The 53rd Masonic District holds its Masonic Schools of Instruction on the 3rd and 4th Monday of each month except for the months of June, July, August and December at 7:30 PM. The Masonic Schools of Instruction held on the 3rd Monday is held at one of the various Lodges in the 53rd Masonic District while the Masonic Schools of Instruction held on the 4th Monday is held at the Hebron Masonic Hall in Mercer. The dates are not carved in stone and sometimes change if the regular date falls on a holiday. Check the Calendar Page as the information will probably be shown there.
