Mary Magdalene
Mary Magdalene is said by some to have been the wife of Jesus Christ and the mother of his child or children. For some reason this idea does not sit well with some branches of the Christianity.
Mary Magdalene was a favorite of Jesus Christ and he is said to have kissed her often.
Mary Magdalene is thought by many to have been the leader of the new Cult of Christianity after the death of Jesus Christ instead of the guy who is know known as Saint Peter. Saint Peter did not like Mary Magdalene and requested that Jesus Christ silence her.
The daughter or Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene is said to have been named Sarah.
At one time the leaders of the Christian Religion recognized the authority of Mary Magdalene but later on they started calling her a harlot, most probably as an excuse to keep only males as church leaders. (See "The Second Messiah" p 91)
The Church has at times gone so far as to state that she was a harlot or prostitute in their effort to convince the masses that she could not have been the wife of Jesus Christ. During the time of Jesus Christ it would have seemed very odd for him not to have had a wife. Why this is a problem for some Christians is unknown to me. This makes about as much sense as saying that Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, remained a Virgin all her life when we are informed by the Holy Bible that Jesus Christ had at least one brother, James the Just.
Mary Magdalene may be the person sitting next to Jesus Christ in "The Last Supper" painting by Leonardo DaVinci. The figure, when you really look at it, really does look like a Woman. Check it out after clearing your mind of previous beliefs about the painting. Be a Freethinker instead of blindly following those who think they know what is best for you and for all of mankind.
