Marduk

---

During the time of Hammurabi the Babylonian priests reworked the Sumerian and Akkadian texts to enhance the powers of Marduk.  Marduk became the chief god and creator of the universe.  Another case where a 'Religion' rewrote history to push their ideas.

This idea was later echoed by the Holy Bible in the Book of Genesis but with the name changed to the Christian God.  Same entity - different name.
