Albert Gallatin Mackey, M.D.
He was a man who wrote a lot about the Freemasons.
He was born on 12 Mar 1807 in Charleston, South Carolina.
He was the son of Dr. John Mackey.
Attended South Carolina Medical College in Charleston where he graduated in 1832.
He practiced Medicine.
He became a teacher at the Medical College.
He quit his occupation in 1854 to study Freemasonry.
He died on 20 June 1881 at Old Point Comfort, Virginia.
He wrote "Encyclopedia of Freemasonry" by Albert G. Mackey. What a surprise!
He wrote "The History of Freemasonry"
He wrote "The Principles of Masonic Law"
He wrote many books on Freemasonry.
Albert Mackey was not a spokesman for Freemasonry, as there is no spokesman for Freemasonry. He simply published his own ideas, as I am doing in this website. I am not a spokesman for Freemasonry any more than anyone else is.
