Land Ownership

This concept was unknown to the American Indians. They never even thought that someone of some group could own the land.  To them land was just something created by the Great Spirit to help mankind survive.  They could not own it.  Owning the land seems to have been a Christian concept.

The early Christians in America took advantage of the American Indians by getting them to sell their land for next to nothing.  Americans still brag about 'buying' Manhattan Island for something like $24 worth of trinkets. This would probably now be considered a criminal act.
