Kolmer

This is said to be the name of a merchant who greatly influenced Adam Weishaupt.

Some researchers suspect he was also known as Altotas. 

He is said to have preached a secret doctrine based on an ancient form of Gnosticism known as Manichaeanism or Mandasanism.  This group is said to have used the term "Illuminated" even before the third century.

Kolmer is said to have met Cagliostro on the Island of Malta in the early 1770s.
