Max Klausen

Max Klausen was a spy who reported to Russia that the Japanese would not be invading Russia any time soon, thus freeing the Russians to concentrate on defeating the German Army.

He was captured by the Japanese and put in prison, as was Richard Sorge, but was freed by the Allies after WW2.

He died at age 81 on 15 Sep 1979. (See "Code Breaking" p 21)
